In this activity we’ll provide some assets for you to work with. This will help understand how to work with image sizes.
STEP 1: DOWNLOAD THESE FILES.

Scenario:
Your Client is in the process of re-branding. They need a new Facebook cover photo, profile picture, and flyer. They’ve provided these step-by-step instructions for you after you download the files:
1. FACEBOOK COVER PHOTO
Facebook has strict requirements for what the cover photo is. Create a new document in Photoshop and size it at 851 x 315 px, at 96 ppi. (Not sure what that is? Ask your instructor!!)
Use the provided images to create an appealing layout for the cover photo. Include the following:
- At least 1 image
- Place the logo on there without a background.
- A fun, engaging tagline that will draw in pet owners.
2. PROFILE PICTURE
Create a profile picture that’s 150×150 px. Get creative- it should be more than just the logo slapped on.
3. BLOCK OUT A LAYOUT
Use Photoshop to start creating a layout. It should be 8.5×11. Create a strong focal point and color scheme.
4. EXPORT THE FILES
Export each of these files in a web ready format.
